shout-out to the network literate
..and illiterate, as we’re sharing the same slightly uncertain boat. I’m Beth, 17, I drink a lot of coffee and don’t sleep very much, I love music and have a mildly annoying lyrics-quoting habit. This blog is brought to you by the ever-mysterious Week Zero activities at UNSW, where I’m about to start a Media degree in Communications and Journalism. I don’t really know what I’m doing, but I’m hoping I’ll press a button and it will work.
To be honest, I’m pretty intimidated by the task of introducing myself to this crazy new realm of blogging and networking; and building this new identity of a keen media student and aspiring journalist… The last few months of post-HSC glory have left me with less of a thought-provoking philosophical opinion, and more of an extended hangover and dicey memory. But hey, thats why I’m here, to get back into it all and check if this brain of mine’s still functioning.
I’m sure once classes start that everything will become slightly clearer, and maybe I’ll have something a little more insightful to add..
my thoughts are misguided and a little naive…
I twitch and I salivate, like with myxomatosis.
I don’t know why I feel so tongue-tied,
don’t know why I feel so skinned alive..
